How To Confirm If Your Device Is Compatible With Poover Batteries? / How To Choose The Right Battery?
For LiFePO4 battery series, since the discharge voltage range is basically consistent with that of lead-acid battery packs for the same voltage model, they can directly replace the devices using lead-acid batteries.
If you are unsure, please feel free to contact us, provide your device manual and parameter sheet, and our engineers will promptly confirm and reply for you – service@poover.tech;
Is Poover Lithium Battery Safe?
Absolutely. POOVER lithium batteries are designed with safety as our top priority. We use high-safety LiFePO4 cells from premium manufacturers and incorporate a sophisticated BMS for overcurrent, overvoltage, short circuit, and temperature protection. Our batteries have been certified for quality and safety, including MSDS, UN38.3, CE, and ROHS, ensuring peace of mind with every use. Trust POOVER for safe, reliable power solutions.
Do POOVER 12V Lithium-ion Batteries Support Series and Parallel Connections?
Yes, POOVER's 12V lithium-ion batteries are inherently designed for max 4series and 4parallel expand connection, allowing for versatile power solutions to meet various energy needs.
Is the Battery Waterproof?
Yes, POOVER lithium-ion battery series come with an IP65 rating, ensuring they are dust-tight and can withstand water jets from any angle, making them suitable for various environments.
Payments & Tax
What Payment Methods Are Accepted?
We now accept payment methods such as PayPal, credit card, or TT. If you encounter payment problems during the payment process, you can contact us at any time.
Do you charge sales tax on any item?
POOVER has VAT codes for Germany and the UK, and lithium battery packs enjoy a 0% tax rate in Germany. If you need to purchase batteries with tax included, please go to the tax-included product page to purchase.
BMS
Does POOVER Lithium Batteries Built-In with a BMS?
Yes, all POOVER lithium batteries built-in an exclusive design of the BMS system that manages, controls, and automatically protects the battery during daily use with a millisecond-level response mechanism.
This includes overcharge and over-discharge protection, over-current and over-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, high and low-temperature protection, and cell balancing management etc.
How to Activate the Protection State of Lithium Battery/Bms?
POOVER's BMS system has a millisecond-level automatic protection mechanism. Most protection states will automatically release the protection state when the conditions are met, for example:
1. Overcharge & over-discharge protection & temperature protection will automatically recover when the voltage & temperature return to the protection state release value.
2. If the short-circuit protection fails to automatically release the protection state, please disconnect the load connected to the battery and it will automatically recover and release.

Charge & Discharge
Can Poover Batteries Be Used for Solar Energy Storage Systems?
Yes, please choose and match a controller with the lithium / LiFePO4 battery mode, such as an MPPT or an all-in-one inverter.
Ensure that the controller’s charging voltage, current, and power conform to the standard charging parameters of the lithium battery.
What is the correct way to charge lithium batteries?
To maintain optimal performance and extend the life of lithium-ion batteries. Unlike lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries require a constant current constant voltage (CCCV) charging mode. Always use a dedicated lithium battery charger to avoid damage from incompatible chargers.
Avoid long-term use of pulse charging or floating charge modes with SLA charger, as they can degrade battery performance and lifespan.
How long does it take to charge a lithium ion battery fully?
The length of charging time depends on the current provided by the charger. To calculate the charging duration, use the formula: battery capacity / charging current * 1.1 (conversion factor).
We recommend purchasing and using a charger with a charging current between 0.2C and 0.5C. For example, use a 14.6V 20A (0.2C) charger to charge a 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery.
Can I use a lead-acid charger for lithium batteries, and what are the risks?
No, due to the unique chemistry and voltage requirements of lithium batteries, lead-acid chargers should not be used to charge lithium batteries. While short-term charging with an incorrect charger may not cause immediate damage, it will degrade the battery's performance over time. Different types of lithium batteries have specific charging voltages and protection parameters. Using an incompatible charger may trigger the battery's protection mode, and repeated misuse may harm the battery management system (BMS). Always choose a charger designed for lithium or LiFePO4 batteries, or a compatible charger from the POOVER brand, to ensure safety and longevity.
What is the effect of temperature on lithium battery charging?
Regarding the charging environment temperature, the optimal temperature range for charging lithium iron phosphate batteries is between 0-45℃. This temperature range helps improve the activity of the internal chemical properties of the lithium battery, resulting in higher charging efficiency.
Charging lithium-ion batteries under low-temperature conditions may cause metallic lithium to precipitate on the surface of the battery anode, and this process is irreversible. This can cause permanent damage to the battery and reduce the safety of lithium-ion batteries.
Can I Discharge My Lithium Battery Completely?
Lithium batteries support deep discharge, and the BMS system of lithium batteries is set with an over-discharge protection voltage. When the lithium battery is fully discharged, it will enter over-discharge protection mode. In reality, the battery cells are not completely over-discharged, and the BMS system serves to protect against over-discharge.
If you must completely discharge your lithium battery’s power, please charge it promptly to avoid keeping the battery in an ultra-low voltage state for an extended period.
This is because the lithium battery’s self-discharge and the power consumption of the BMS, display, switches, and other accessories may cause the battery cells to become genuinely over-discharged, leading to performance loss.
Repeated or long-term occurrences may cause an increase in the internal pressure of the lithium-ion battery, damaging the reversibility of the active materials in the positive and negative electrodes. Even if the battery is charged, it can only partially recover, and its capacity will noticeably degrade.
