POOVER 12.8v 20ah Deep Cycle LiFePO4 Lithium Battery, Mobility Scooter & Wheelchair

I wanted to replace the three 12v 12ah lead acid batteries in my grandchildren’s 36 volt 800w quad bike and Poover’s 12v 20ah LIFEPO4 battery was the exact same form factor as the original batteries.
I couldn’t find much information about Poover but placed my order on 30th Sept 2025. Delivery did take nearly 3 weeks, so don’t believe the website saying order processing in 1-2 working days.
Being a retired electronic engineer I wanted to see how good these batteries were. I charged one of the batteries from my bench power supply which was set to 14.4 volts. This resulted in the supply current limiting at its maximum current of 5.1 amps and you can see the output voltage of the PSU dropped to maintain its max current. The photo shows the battery near full charge and at full charge the batteries BMS shut down the charging which was good.
I then decided to drain the battery to find its capacity. I wired a set of resistors to provide a 1 ohm load or about 150 watts drain at the 12.5 volts that the battery maintained for an amazing 2 hours 2 minutes. That was 300 watt hours of capacity. The resistors were running at 120C. The output voltage was incredibly stable not really budging from 12.5 volts until the very end when it started dipping below 12 volts. 300 watt hours of capacity from a battery rated at 256 is genuinely impressive for the price. Also, the battery only just got above ambient temperature.
As a control I wired up one of the old lead acid batteries and it died completely within minutes!
Based on my tests the quad bike is going to fly and do so for hours!
I am very impressed with this battery and hope this review helps others who might be considering buying these batteries.
